Connect + Mentoring
"I was hesitant at first, but clicking that schedule button was one of my best decisions. Meeting someone who truly understood where I was coming from and could meet me during a time that worked for me was incredibly reassuring. It felt like a weight was lifted just knowing I wasn't alone in this journey."
Connecting with Others
I love hosting public events that are easy for people to find and learn about I Quit Church, but my favorite are the dinners, bonfires, and celebrating holidays in our homes.

One-on-One Mentoring
Why a Mentor is Essential When Taking a Break or Leaving Church
Leaving the church can be overwhelming, filled with uncertainties and emotions that challenge even the strongest faith. The familiar routines and structures that once provided comfort may suddenly be absent, leaving you to navigate a new and often isolating path. However, you don't have to walk this journey alone. Having a mentor—a wise and trusted guide—can provide the support and direction you need during this critical time.
What to Discuss with Your Mentor
Your conversations with your mentor can cover a variety of topics, depending on where you are in your journey. Some suggestions include:
Spiritual Growth: Discuss your personal Bible study and how you're applying those lessons.
Prayer Life: Explore ways to deepen your communication with God.
Identity in Christ: Reflect on who you are in Christ, independent of your previous church identity.
Healing and Forgiveness: Work through any hurts or grievances you may have experienced, seeking healing and practicing forgiveness.
A mentor is not a substitute for your personal relationship with Jesus but a companion who walks with you. If you're ready to take the next step in your spiritual journey and would like the support of a mentor, we encourage you to schedule a time with one of our experienced mentors here at I Quit Church. We're here to guide and encourage you as you explore new ways to grow in your faith outside the traditional church setting.
